I just bought a newer ride, and now I am in search of fun rides in the North Dallas area...300 miles or so round trip, less is good too. Anyone have good ideas?

I live near Fort Worth, so this route starts there. However, it's a great loop with probably the best motorcycle roads near DFW.

Although all of the road names aren't shown, if interested let me know and I will send you a better map with the road names.

Good luck,

thanks to both of you! There are some nice 1 way rides on the site that I will have to check out, and the loop looks like a fun ride as well!

Here's a map with road numbers on it. Hope it helps.

No doubt the best riding close to Dallas is southwest of FW, but if you are on the North side it is also worth a trip up to Muenster, StJ & Nocona towards the Red.

make your way up to HWY 380 in McKinney. As you just start to head east out of town, there's a FM road that heads north and goes through New Hope. It has some nice sweepers. I usually go up Greenville/Ave K/Hwy 5 to get there, then cut east to the McKinney airport and around the east side to 380. Blue Ridge on up towards Whitewright isn't too bad. Google maps is your friend. From North Dallas, that would probably be a 150-200 mile round trip.
