Sunday Stroll to Chappell Hill 6-3-07

Met Desmo over at his house to do quick little ride up to Chappell Hill and about. Steve wanted to get his new Wee Strom out for a ride so we mostly did paved roads but we did sneak in a few dirt ones :rider: Steve still has street tires on the Wee which makes for some interesting fun on the gravel roads. It was a little toasty out today but as long as you kept moving it wasn't too bad. Here is the map of the ride, I did about 188 miles.

Loving my new lid, the ventilation was nice. I could feel a breeze on the top of my bald head.

Steve let me ride the new toy, the wee strom is smooth and corners well. I was amazed by the acceleration it has.:rider:

Made it to Cat Spring, there was a festival going on and happened to look up to see a helicopter buzz our heads and then land. They were giving copter rides.

I mounted up a progressive rear spring on a new take off stock shock, big difference...no more bottoming out on those sweet jumps. :rofl: I had 21,000 miles on my old spring and shock...it was getting pretty pathetic.

Steve, Nice strom, what tires are you going to get? I find the Tourances that came on the F650 are pretty good in gravel and even in sand, either that or I'm getting better off road....nah...it can't be that.

I like the look of the XD, I would rather look like Darth than a power ranger.;-)
I ordered the helmet online from some site, can't remember which one. I picked it up for $150 less than the MSRP, it was my 40th birthday present from myself. Heck.. actually I only had to come up with a hundred bucks of my money, the rest was b-day cash :trust:
