I figured out that the bold blue usernames are mods, but today they started turning all kinds of colors. They're really pretty, but what do they mean?

Just put your mouse over a username ;-)
They are just visual cues to attract people's attention so that if they put their mouse over one of the names, they see what usergroup they belong to. It also lets me quickly scan the Who's Online to see what Mods/Admins are on.

sounds like a challenge to me, Scott... :trust:
I think yesterday my screenname was orange for a while, now it is some shade of blue. Green is a forum supporter - at least it looks like it.

Only about four or five of the Forum Supporters are green ;-) I am trying to make it so that all are green, but I am having to work around some technical issues within the forum software related to usergroup memberships.
The orange was just a temporary thing from experimenting with different colors to get the needed contrast on the different forum color schemes.

Keith.
I noticed the color difference on other supporters and went looking.
Go to User CP tab at the top.
Run down the left side to the Miscellaneous group and click Group Memberships.
Then select the group you wish to display........

:tab Good job Don! Therein lies my technical issue. Short of going to every forum supporter's user profile and manually making that change myself, I have no way to automatically make that change using the forum software. When the person starts a subscription by donating, there is no means of forcing on display group over another. To make the change for everyone, I'll have to figure out how to run a query on the database manually. Then I have to figure out how to set it up to run on a regular basis to change new forum supporters as they sign up.

No "Group Membership" option to click on my UserCP. Guess I need to get my subscription back up to have that option.

I figured it out!
Had to get some help writing a php script to manually alter the database table for the Forum Supporters. Basically, I just set everyone to be associated with the FS usergroup for display purposes. Anyone that does now want it can just go to their User CP and set it back to Default.
