All odd year user rep positions are being voted on

Currently the even year atv position is vacant. It can either be voted on and filled or the president can appoint someone to this vacant position....or it can be left unfilled until next year.
Also, the even year At Large rep position will be vacant, once Tony moves into the President position. This can be appointed by the President....or it can remain unfilled until next year.

Get to know whose running and vote.
Read their bios, contact them, ask them questions, know their stance on issues that effect you
I'd encourage everyone to vote for those candidates that take the time to talk to and listen to the members/users....vote for those that put the members/users needs first. Vote for those that actually communicate to the membership/users
If you are not a member ....join and send your ballot in with your application and dues. Or if your membership is about to expire, send in your ballot with your renewal dues ... Don't go unheard anymore.

Here's the candidates I am voting for and why.

July 28th 2007 TMTC General Membership Meeting Ballot

President 2 Year Term

Tony Eeds (Currently At-Large Representative)
I'm voting for Tony, not just because he is the only one running, but because I really believe that he is going to be a great addition to TMTC and the BOD.

Secretary 2 Year Term

Bobby Beamer (Currently Motorcycle Representative)

Charles F. “Chuck” Wise

I am voting for Bobby. The Secretary position is one of the most important position we have. They are responsible for voting, newsletter or whatever else we end up using for communication, and for the membership record keeping. They should know our bylaws like the back of their hand. I think it's important to have someone in this position that knows some background history on TMTC. Chuck may be a wonderful person, but I feel this postion should be filled by someone who knows The TMTC inner workings from first hand experience.

OHV Representative Odd Year

Richard Cruz

Mike Green

Billy Thomas

I am voting for Billy Thomas. All three of these are good candidates. But my vote has to go to Billy, because I've seen him at TPWD meetings and Ozona public hearings and at all the TMTC General Meetings. He is already involved on a statewide level and that's what we need to move TMTC forward.

Motorcycle Representative Odd Year

Chris Jester

Steve Seton

I am voting for Chris Jester. I Think he would be a great addition as a user rep. I know him from BMRA and from TSCEC and from the TON forums where he goes by "Maladjusted". I do not know Steve Seton and have no contact information on him to even ask him questions. He may be a perfect person for the job...I do like that he lives in west Texas.

ATV Position Representative Both Odd And Even Year

Carroll Broussard

I guess I'm voting for Carroll. Don't know much about him. He goes by nujac on the Texas Offroad Network.

At-Large Odd Year

Steve "Rocketman" Smith (Currently At-Large Representative)

Stacy Newman

Steven Tucker

This one's a though one. But I have to vote for Stacy Newman. He is a great user rep....with or without the title. I'd really like Steven Tucker on there, too.....so, what I'm gonna do in this case is vote for Stacy...and at the meeting on the 28th whoever dosen't win by popular vote....I will ask that the board appoint the other to the even year position left vacant by Tony Eeds. That dosen't mean that is what will happen. The board ....actually the President ....can choice to fill that position with anyone they want...or not fill it at all.

The reason I'm not voting for Mike Green or Steve Smith.....they are both close friends with Tony Eeds.....nothing wrong with that...Tony's a really nice guy, but is it best for the organization to have the President's friends on the board? In my opinion I can see where it could cause some of the same problems we are trying to fix.
