Cool. I like his column in Roadracer X.

However, in installment 55, he says, "Riding a motorcycle is a unique form of transport, simply because 99% of people do it out of pleasure, not necessity."

I think that's a bit incorrect, and perhaps simply ethno-centric on his part. I read somewhere that 80% of all motorcycles sold are sold in Asia, and my trip last year to Thailand showed a lot of folks who use motos (I'm including scooters here, too) as a necessary mode of transportation. Here's a mall parking lot, NOT a dealership. ;-)

Saw similar stuff in Paris, too, every time I've been there, but with a slightly more well-heeled rider. :shrug:
