Seems like there is a wide range of styles in the different counties. Here are a couple of my favorites:
Wise County - Decatur

Ellis County - Waxahachie

Denton County - Denton

Interestingly, these photos came in handy recently - my new daughter-in-law works for an interior decorating company that was putting proposals together for some county governments. I had tried to get her and my son to come have ice cream on the Denton square and rold her I would be taking pictures. I got 2 emails from her asking if I had high resolution images of the two courthouses since all she could find was too fuzzy for a "cover photograph". Anyway, she was happy to get these although I really didn't compose them for a proposal.
I really like the old style stone architecture, probably from around the turn of the 20th century. I am glad that Dallas and Tarrant Counties still have their old ones even though they have newer (and uglier) buildings in use.
I am trying to catch up to Janet but am about 220 or so behind... :lol2:
