This the best list of helmet reviews I know of:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/motorcycle-helmets.htm

I have yet to find a great full face or flip-up helmet with exceptional air flow.

My Arai XD has great airflow, not that great for high speeds though.

I've tried on the Arai XD ... but have yet to do a road test with one. So far, looks promising though!

I'll toss in a vote for the Shoei RF-1000 and the Scorpion line. Both work quite well for me.

All the helmets that i have seen have small vents. I dont care about the noise since i wear earplugs but i need ventilation. This one seems good at it. Any experiences with Icon helmets anyone?

I have the Shoei Multitech (the new version of the Syncrotech). Airflow is pretty decent. Wearing a CoolMax skull cap helps, too.

Sorry I can't help you with the Icon helmet. All I can say is, if I undeerstand your statement, I believe all helmets that are vented have small vents to prevent something from coming through the vent and hitting your head.

I personally bought a Scorpion EXO-700 (my particular graphic was discontinued and on sale for $170 shipped with extra tinted visor), good price with good features IMHO. Also, check out any satisfaction surveys you can find. I know JD Power and associates has done several studies. Here's a link for the latest survey. http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/motorcycle-helmet And I believe if you look into the press release area, you can pull up prior years back to 2002 or so, if I'm not mistaken.

Of course they now have a newer model Scorpion EXO-1000, which is supposed to be even better. Hope this helps.

My Arai XD has great airflow, not that great for high speeds though.

I will have to echo the praise of the XD. Speed hasn't been an issue for me on the RT with the air management and the fact I haven't felt the need for speed on this bike (which is a good thing).

I haven't messed with going with and with out the peak to see how it affects the airflow.

I have an Arai RX7 Corsair. I think the airflow through it is fantastic.

I have the Scorpion EXO-700 and although it is a great helmet for the price, airflow doesn't come close to the Shoei X-11. I was just looking at helmets with a friend yesterday and dicsussing with a few people that had both of the helmets and the Arai Corsair RX7 is right up there with the X-11 as far a airflow goes. It looks to be a great helmet too, but I will never know as it doesn't fit me worth a crap.

Do be aware though. More airflow = more noise regardless of what brand or type of helmet you do choose.

Yeah, the X-11 is great for flow too. And Skid brings up a good point, likely only one brand or the other (between Shoei and Arai) will fit you properly.

New Enough has the Scorpion EXO400 on clearance for $104. I just bought one and it by far has the best air flow of any other helmet I have owned, Aria, KBC, HJC, Nolan, Bell.

I have an icon mainframe and it works well for me, especially when I ride on the back of my husband's bike. I live in El Paso where it is usually 100+ daily in the summer and this does a wonderful job keeping me cool...

You know, I was a big supporter of the Scorpion EX700 until I bought the Shark RSF2. It moves more air and is a lighter helmet. It was also a smidge cheaper and shield removal is a super easy. Power Accessories in NY was great to deal with.

I hear the X11 moves tons of air but have no experience w/ that. People's opinions of helmets vary greatly so take our suggestions w/ a grain of salt.
Web Bike World is a great place to review helmets. I've bought 3 helmets from helmetharbor.com and their site is informative as well.

Wow. It should with those big honking air ducts:

That's a pretty cool looker, too. Hmm.

I have a Warhawk in Yellow and just crashed with the Paradise (female graphics). I will probably get another Scorpion again to replace the Paradise, which by the way crash-tested well:

Shoei X-11 has incredible airflow. Very light weight also. If you can wait for a 20% off sale at Cycle Gear, it will help with the steep price.

Patricia,

Yikes! What happened? I obviously don't follow the forums often enough.
