Who: Cycle Gear, San Antonio I-10W @ Huebner 210-558-8700

What: Cycle Gear is a parts and accessories only shop. They sell big names for low prices. I bought a Shoei X11 for what it cost online. And I didn't have to pay for shipping or wait a week for it to show up. Tires are also as cheap as online. Cycle Gear will sell you a roadhazard for your tires. It costs (I think) 10% of the tire and gets you free replacement for the first quarter of the treadlife and prorated after that. I haven't seen that in too many places. They will install your tires for you if you bring in the rims. It only costs $15 per rim if you bought the tire from them and $30 if you didn't. Considering that more and more shops are charging $100 plus for mounting tires, I bought a set of Pit Bull stands from them and bring in the tires. The stands paid for themselves in no time just in money saved on tire mounting.

Where: San Antonio, take I-10W to Huebner on the west side of 410. At the offramp, move over quickly because the store is immediately on the right in the strip mall.

I stopped by there the other day. Their selection was okay but I could not find a pair winter riding pants that fit. I was bummed about that, but I will say that the prices were competitive and I will look at them for tires and other accessories.
