View Full Version : Yet another from Aggieland
Hi folks,
I was told about this site by AggieVFR, I think, when I ran across a half-dozen bikes getting ready for a ride a week ago. I'm mainly a lurker on ST.Net & ADVrider. Glad to see this place exists & is thriving.
I hope to hook up with some of y'all down the road.
Glen

Howdy Glen,
:tab Welcome to the site! So what do you ride? There are some folks headed out that way through Navasota on the way to Brenham tomorrow morning. Check the Upcoming Events forum, it's the Nov 6th ride. Can't have too many Aggies here... WHOOP! :dude:

Adios,
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I own a local business and Saturdays are not a good riding day for me, but I hope to catch up to some of y'all around town.
I have a '02 K1200RS that I just managed to get back on a few weeks ago. I got hit by another bike going the opposite direction on FM 3090 on April 1, 2003 & finally completed the ride on Oct. 12, 2004. My Harley was totalled & my left foot would have been as well if I hadn't had on decent boots. Thirteen broken bones between my ankle & big toe as well as a plate & ten screws & I'm a walking testament to ATGATT....others can debate it, I'll just live it! (Kinda funny to watch me shift, tho' )

Welcome Glen :bigokay: :bigokay: :bigokay:
Glad your up and riding again. Man that sounds like a nasty lil bit of wot you were in. And to have it happen from another rider too, that sucks.
Well hope you enjoy the riding now and maybe we cross paths sometime in the future.

Glad to see so many Aggies...as the saying goes "If you can't be an Aggie, at least marry one" so I've taken that advice..not married yet, but almost 4yrs is close, maybe now getting a kitchen pass will be easier "Honey..I'm gonna go ride with a bunch of Aggies..." "Ok, but bring me back something from Campus, or I'll chemically neuter you " :hail:

Welcome back to riding, and to the site!
Ok, so what does ATGATT stand for?

Glad to see you made it Glen. We'll be doing at least one or two more rides before the end of the semester I'd imagine. Exam and project schedules for everyone will ultimately determine attendance. :-( Right now I'm off to a study group for a test I have tomorrow. I'll be ready for a weekend ride after this week. 8-)

Mike,
ATGATT = All The Gear All The Time
The one time you don't wear it seems to always be the one time you really needed it...
Adios,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope to meet y'all soon. (I guess I'll see you Friday, Tim).
Ride safe,
Glen
