What:
Excellent Thai cuisine. Seat yourself and order items like chicken ginger, fried rice, or beef and broccoli. Don't expect great service (it can vary quite a bit), but the food is always good. Meals cost around $6.50 per entree. My favorites: Spring Rolls to start, and Pad Khee Mao with Thai Tea for the main course. They are open for lunch every weekday, in the evenings Monday-Saturday, and closed Sundays. They also close down for vacation once or twice a year, so call before you make a trip in.
Where:
Thai Taste
317 College Avenue
College Station, TX 77840
(979) 260-9171
Directions:
From Houston, take Highway 6 north to College Station. Exit University Ave and head west (left). Turn right on College Avenue. On the left will be a shopping center; Thai Taste is at the far end of the center down College Avenue (center also has an IHOP and a Schlotsky's ).
