I was psyched to take the Futura down to this rally.
As it turned out, the better half really wanted to go out and about with me, but didn't want to ride. As much as I love the bike, and riding, she's a way higher priority...
So, we took the car :-(, and wound our way down to Luckenbach.
The Futura would've been unique at the rally, what're the odds? ;-)
Anyway, here are a few pics: clicky (http://buck000.smugmug.com/gallery/279446/1/11083362)

nice pics Paul. So you like the CityX huh, what is the transparent tank like, seems a little hokey to me.
Seems like someone does really likes the Guzzis though ;-)
I saw a CityX in person this weekend at a local italian restaurant. I think it looks pretty **** cool. Everything except the fake tank/air box cover thing has a huge X on the top. The headlights are nice and the transparent air deflector above them adds a nice touch.

I agree that details like the big X on the CityX tank is silly, but I kind of like them taking a shot at the translucent tank.
And, yes, the Guzzis do call my name. Perhaps it's the fact that my previous/first(!) bike was a Honda CX500 with the Guzzi-ish engine layout and nice sound. I dunno. I did get the dude to start up one of the Guzzis for me, and was suprised at how subdued it was at low revs. As compared to the half-system Termignoni on that 748s that had me smiling at any rev point. :-D

Nice photos, Paul! 8-) Like you, that Duc 749 is calling to me...
Did you get a chance to sit on the MZ 1000? Curious as to how it feels ergonomically.
Yep, said it before, but I've got to go to the Harvest Classic next year. :headbang:

Interestingly, even though it was very cool to get so close to an MZ, especially a brand new model, I was almost completely uninterested in that bike. The dirt bike was a bit more interesting, but the I just didn't get too excited about the bike. It was probably because I was sitting on a Guzzi...
