ARLINGTON -- A Grand Prairie man was killed early Thursday when his motorcycle went out of control about 1:45 a.m. at Texas 360 and Pioneer Parkway.
Richard Williams, 22, was dead at the scene, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner reported.
Police said it appeared that Williams was turning from Pioneer onto the ramp to northbound 360 when the motorcyle went out of control.

I'm curious, who is "Paul" and why is his # in a news story.
I just heard there was another cycle accident in Dallas on my way to work this morning. Geez.
Never mind, I see he is the writer of the story. Wow, I can call him on his phone even.

Yup, all the stories on dfw.com have the writer's e-mail address and phone number. Maybe we should call and see if this guy was wearing a helmet?

It ironic how quite a few of them seem to be happening right around the 2AM mark which IIRC is about the same time the bars stop serving. Funny how it works that way.....;-)

And that bar activity seems to go hand in glove with being "out of control". Not good for a motorcyclist.

I used to live in that area. 360 @ Pioneer Parkway is a straight piece of road. I always wonder what the details are in these early morning accidents. Naturally there's the assumption of alcohol involvement and the "watch this" factor but a straight piece of road?

Maybe straight road = how fast can I go?
I hate articles that don't give me all the info.

See above, maybe this is the clue:
appeared that Williams was turning from Pioneer onto the ramp to northbound 360

A friend of mine lost his 18-year old daughter Sunday from an accident in Stephenville where a car turned left in front of two bikes/four people. Three flown to JPS, two were pronounced brain dead, including my friend's daughter who was there for her first semester at Tarleton. The rider was also pronounced brain dead. They had no major injuries other than skull fractures.

I believe this is the one you are talking about?

The other thread said that college had been only open a week.
Very sad.
