Kelly said it is not known if the driver of the other vehicle, who has not been identified, had used his turn signal. Boulevard East is a narrow road with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

"It's a he-said, she-said right now, but you can't pass on the right in Weehawken or anywhere in Jersey," Kelly said.
Why the heck would he try to pass on the right on a narrow road? I feel bad for the car driver, I'm sure whoever it was was freaked out.

Well, probably because Clooney's an idiot and, like most movie "stars", he thinks the world revolves around him. Well, sounds like he might have gotten a lesson in that regard. I'm sure he can afford the medical bills and a new bike.

You might have guessed, but he's one of the hollywood types I don't much care for. Ah, but if it would only have been Rosie O on the back.... Anyone see the picture of her with a motorcycle tire print painted on her face for some TV show she was doing? Told my daughter, if she wanted, I'd be happy to put a real one on her face for her. Her big, hard head, though, I'd probably lose it goin' over her.

Yeah, Jack. She should really try to be more understanding. Like you.

My g/f will not be happy if that pretty face is messed up. I could live a month in his shoes no prob, single rich hunk as it were. Employees at the Four Seasons say he's a down to earth normal guy.

I do understand she's a radical loon.;-) Had it in for her ever since that Tom Selleck incident.

I just hope he doesn't go on a "publicity" stunt talking about how dangerous motorcycles are and about how the gubberment needs to regulate them more.

Nah...too many celebs ride for that to happen. Isn't it sad that celebs are America's royalty.

The first report I heard on this indicated that the car had the left turn signal on, then turned right at the intersection. Clooney was passing on the right (sounds like a traffic violation in NJ.) at the wrong time. How many times have any of us passed a car or truck on the right, rather than wait behind them for the turn to complete?

Weehawken PD has issued the following statement to TMZ:

"On Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at approximately 3:30 PM, Weehawken police and the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad responded to a 911 call of a motorcycle accident with possible injuries at the corner of King Avenue and Boulevard East.Investigation at the scene determined that a ]999 Mazda Millenium operated Mr. Albert Sciancalepore II of Weehawken, NJ made contact with a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Mr. George Clooney of Los Angeles, California, was accompanied by Ms. Sarah Larson of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Clooney and Ms. Larson were subsequently taken to Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen for examination and treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both were apparently wearing motorcycle helmets at the time of the accident. The car was driven from the scene by its operator, and the motorcycle was from the scene by a representative of Mr. Clooney. Due to conflicting statements of driver and the lack of evidence to support either driver's version, no moving violation summonses have been issued to either party at this time. The incident remains under investigation."

Nice!
They can describe make and model of the darn four-wheeled vehicle,
but there's just "HD" for describing the cycle!

I'm telling you that this is proof of media bias!
Where the heck are Jessie and AL when we really need 'em?

Don't really give a crap if Clooney or any of the Hollywood crowd gets hurt or killed, I doubt anyone of us would be featured on CNN if we went down. Oh well, when the world is more concerned with Brittney's night out then any problem with global repercussions, I guess I should expect the CNN breaking news. I'm glad I'm on the downside of this whole life swing, I don't want to be around this toilet in 20 years, sorry children.

On a brighter note, that street in NJ is a must see if you are going to NY . When I lived up there I used to take all my dates there and watch the lights go out on the Empire State Building. It is a beautiful place and easy to get to. Just go through the Lincoln Tunnel towards NJ and exit on top of the hill.
