I bought a pair of elkskin gloves from Rider's Warehouse....

I have enjoyed them so far. However, the main complint I have is that they bleed very badly. I have washed them numerous times and I still get dye out each time I do. If I ever buy another pair it will be the natural color so I don't have to worry about the dye bleeding on my hands. They are warmer than the regular corthech or joe rocket summer glove, but they are bearable in the summer heat and fit well. Other than the dye bleeding...no complaints here.

I liked mine so much I bought more, but I got the natural color. They may still bleed, but it is the same color as my hands.:rider:

Except the natural ones seem to shed all the time, leaving trails of tan leather dust on everything, especially on black textile jackets....
I've had some luck stopping colorbleeds by using murphys oil soap , dry the item, followed by liberal application of "automotive" leather conditioner. Works on gloves/leathers/chaps/saddles...Do try to not apply too much conditioner to the inside of the thigh/knee area of your race suit though.:trust:

When I first got these gloves I spent about an hour working Neats foot oil into the gloves. I think I should have washed the gloves before putting the oil on them. Haven't had a chance to try them in the rain so I am not sure how much the oil will help.
Used to use neatsfoot on all my leather tack. I stopped after it galled a couple horses. Washed it all and reoiled in virgin olive oil. No more problems.
I'd still tend to recomend a carseat type conditioner. Everytime I used any type of oil, it darkened the leather way more so than the creams.

These are with out a doubt the best all around gloves I have ever bought. I have two pairs, black and natural. I tried the gauntlet style, but the gauntlet is not long enough to fit over the cuffs on my stich so I gave them to my son. With heated grips I wear these year round.

I have the natural ones. Yes, they do leave a lot of fuzz on my black textile jacket. Still, they're great...thick and warm but still decent fell for controls. They're pretty water proof, too, even without treating them with anything.
