Took a Monday ride to the Hill Country out of Austin to try and make the 3 sisters and back before dark, spent too much time goofing off and just made the Willow City Loop instead. Still, it was my first time and I enjoyed it a lot.
Mainly since I am from New Orleans and only get to ride Texas sparringly.
The pics from Picasa, still working on how to post them correctly. Hope it comes out, click the slide show for good size photos.

Cool pics. Willow City Loop is nice. Glad you did it during the week when it's not busy. Shame the new bike isn't getting ridden much. Someone needs to buy it to make it happy.

beer shack/restaurant meaning Harry's Barbeque? Absolutely the best barbequed "Hog's Butt" (only not Butt, thanks to the filter) sandwich ever. Great place :trust:

Love the pics.... a little vicarious trip.
Chasing all the crossings of the Llano river is a good excuse for a ride on a hot summer day.
Lots of places to get in the water and enjoy an adult beverage. Good to get get the cloths wet for the next stint.
We in Austin are fortunate to have the Texas Hill country as our backyard playground.

Here is a video of the willow city loop taken in the winter with no one else around. Good play day.
