where to ride around katy

Anyone know of anywhere around Katy to ride some dirt. My buddy wants to get his kids out sometimes to let them practice and get used to the bikes. Closest place I can think of is 290 MX park up in waller on their beginner kids track.

There was a track opened at Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy. http://www.lonestarmotorsportspark.com/lonestarmotorsportspark/index.php

It haven't ridden dirt in many years. They don't seem to advertise it (MX track) so you might call them and find out what the story is. I have seen it out there and you can see it in the pics.

The track was opened for practice a few weekends then it went away -
a large metal garage building occupies the area where the track was now...

SWMX is a good basic track for beginners with no "do or die" obstacles...
