First, I was driving in on City Park Rd to do some mountain biking when a group of 5 or 6 sport riders passed me going out... I turned onto Pearce and came up on a couple of guys dismounting, then few guys standing around with a few down a slope in the woods, with a bike... one of the guys standing near the road threw his helmet down out of anger, don't know if he was the rider since he was so far from the bike... maybe he bailed out before he went over? I sure hope so... his bike was a tangled mess in the trees...
On the way home I was on the north end of Lime Creek Rd just before the quarry when I came up on a LEO and a new KLR parked on the left side, then looked to my right in the trees to find a full sized pick-up rubber side up... Went by too fast to see if the bike was damaged, so don't know how he was involved, hope everyone was okay though...
It's nice out, be careful out there folks.

Not nearly as much as I used too... lately I've been trying to get in at least one ride a week after work, but with the time change, that may come to a screeching halt... I'm about to start commuting to get back in shape though.

Mine will be 35 mi as well (Crystal Falls to Mopac/Steck). I'm not looking forward to doing that in sub-45 degree temps though... Those temps are for sleeping

Wilshire Homes.
Rode today; a little chilled when I left, sweating uncontrollably when I arrived. I guess once it gets colder I'll have to make stops to peel layers.

Are you commuting on a bicycle?
Sorry, just trying to clear some things up.

:lol2: Yea, sorry, I thought this thread was otherwise dead... regardless, it now has nothing to do with the original topic (other than the initial mention of mountain biking)

The firm that I used to work for did some work at Planview....
My commute went from 5.5 miles across South Austin to 20 miles up to Research Park.
