:tab I have not ridden those specific roads, but I have been in that area. My recollection is that most of the FM's were in good shape. It is mostly fast sweepers and rolling hills with pastures and grasslands. In a few areas there are woods. FM 197 is a good ride. It runs just South of the Red River East/West. FM 409 was nice as well.
:tab If you head on up into Oklahoma on US 271 to Hugo, there is a great little diner to stop and get a burger. I think it is called the Busy Bee Cafe. It has bar seating only and only sits about 10 people. Take the business 271 into town, it will be on the left after crossing some train tracks. The burgers are huge and great. Last time I was there, the cook was an elderly fellow that has ridden all his life. He still keeps up with the bikes and loves to talk about them. He's owned just about everything imaginable.

yea i know the area well. it's only about an hour away from me. but i have never been on those 2 roads.
next time you go to oklahoma, use 259 to bethal, ok. then take west 144 to honobia, then the indian trail to talahina, ok. you'll love it on your gs.
