I was riding w/ the TSBA folks today, and we can upon a very sad scene on 473 between Sisterdale and Comfort. Traffic was blocked in both directions, and a life flight copter was in the middle of the road. We could see bikes @ the accident scene, but couldn't tell what they were.

We heard that the rider passed away, and was on a BMW. Apparently he lost control in a dip just before a RH sweeper, and didn't make the corner. RIP.

They told everybody to turn around, the road was going to be blocked for quite a while for the investigation.

Not what I was hoping to see today, but it's a somber reminder to be careful out there.

Gosh I'm sorry to hear this. I was on 473 on a Saturday two weeks ago (10/20) coming back from a annual group ride in the Hill Country that weekend. All my condolences and sympathies to his family and friends.

I've been all over Google trying to find out what happened yesterday, but have had no luck.
