New member here. Just wanted to ask you to have some positive thoughts/prayers for a fellow rider's son. He was on a brand new R1 (had for less than 3 weeks). First thoughts might be he was doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing on the street, but the UTD police called the city police and verified it was a low speed collision, no funny stuff. He was wearing jacket, helmet and gloves.

Friend of mine's 23yo son had a car pull out in front of him in Richardson, on Campbell Road near UTD, and he hit her around 40mph in her right rear wheel. He was banged up pretty bad (head trauma, internal bleeding, broken sternum, pelvis and arm, dislocated shoulder...).

Parkland took care of the internal injuries and hope to be able to wake him up once the pressure subsides in his skull. Keep you fingers crossed for a full recovery and no long term brain damage.

Good guy with a bright future. Thoughts appreciated.

Not trying to be inconsiderate, but know this: God is in His heaven and Christ alone is the priest to intercede for humans. Mere thoughts sooth only the one who is thinking. Cry out to the Lord of creation that He may hear and may heal.

Thanks, folks. He's finally gaining consciousness and although battered pretty good, he's expected to make a full recovery, albeit a long one.

My sincerely intended good thoughts, with no supernatural component, to the injured.

All appreciated folks. Minor complication (we hope). He's developed pneumonia and they are trying to get the fluid out of his lungs before they can operate on his bones and get him fully conscious. Hopefully a couple days of diuretics will do it.
