We had a guy here in SA cash in the same way a couple weeks ago.
Word is he was doing 140 when he rear-ended a car. Flew over the car, then got ran over by the car.

I'm just learning to ride and I'm still a little scared just going 30. Sounds stupid, but I don't think I could ever go that fast.

I finally went cruising with my husband. I've decided to call my bike the "cranky mama" because she backfires and jerks terribly in low gears. Once I got it into 3rd and 4th it ran quite smooth:rider: . I hope to get a newer bike some day soon just so I can actually ride to the meet 'n' greets. Until then, I will be piggy-backing with Musicman754. Thanks for your encouragement. It is a little more difficult to learn as an adult than a child; at least it is for me.

It's not that it's more difficult, you just know what fear is. As a child, you don't fear anything so learning things is great. As an adult, you already know what could happen should you make a mistake!!!!
but, at least you are on two wheels. That is cool! Just go the speed your comfy with and don't feel pressured into doing anything else!!!

That would be perfect if my husband didn't get on to me for starting out so slow. He's afraid someone behind me will get ticked off and either honk and scare me, or go around me without me knowing. It'll take awhile to learn how to speed up faster, but you're right about the fear thing. Ahh, to be a kid again.

The only way to get over that is to have it happen.
What is it with people who won't change lanes before passing a bike?
