View Full Version : Matrix Reloaded
I'm going to a 10am show on thursday. Can't wait.
Okay, time to go watch my copy of The Matrix for the 500th time.

:tab Hehe... do you have the Matrix Revisited version with the extra DVD? I have to wait until next week to go see it because I am on call this week and weekend. If I try to see it, the pager will go off right at the worst possible moment. I know this from experience!! Sometimes it is scary how I can sit on my butt all day and do nothing, as soon as I decide I should do something... BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!!! Drives me ?#$%!$ nuts!
Be sure when you see Reloaded to stay through the credits. There's supposed to be a trailer for Revolutions at the end. Of course, I hear this after I just saw it. Grrrr.
I'll have to catch it on my next viewing.

I just got back from seeing the movie...it was ok but not as spectacular as I thought it would be...Maybe all the hype makes you expect more than there really is...

:tab I have to wonder how it could really be any better than the first. What I really like about the first one was the whole plot concept, the alternate reality, freeing your mind from false concepts, etc,... The Buddhist mysticism mixed with the Christian Savior stuff was a little hokey, but I can deal with that. The action stuff was cool but secondary for me. So unless they can really extend the plot in a logical way, all the cool action sequences in the world don't make for a really good movie. I want to see something that really makes me go, "Hhmmm....?" To think they might be able to do this in two separate sequels almost seems to much to hope for. I'll be seeing it next week.
I don't want to give anything away, but I will say this: Reloaded presents more questions than answers. It made my brain hurt, which I like. The worst part is having to wait til November for Revolutions. :|

I wouldn't ever see a movie like this for the plot. Since I'm involved in the computer industry (Hi..my name is Bill and I'm a geek) I'm really interested in the animation/graphics, because I can really appreciate what it takes to make it come together. Of course it doesn't hurt that the lead woman in the picture is always wearing tight leather pants (Hi..my name is Bill and I'm a shallow geek).

OK...I had to drive from San Antonio to Austin to get the bike worked on today and had to stay the entire day. To kill some time, I went to see the Matrix and X-Men. I'm sorry, but I thought that the matrix was as deep as a shallow puddle. After about two hours of special effects and martial arts, even I had enough. OK...the motorcycle scene was pretty cool, so I'll say that it is a must see for anyone on this forum. To me, it was worth the $5.50 to see what all the hype was about, but I don't expect I'll see it again, but I will say that I'll probably pay to see the final one (remember...good looking women in tight leather :bigokay: )
