Is there a way to post videos and maintain the original quality? I recently posted some vids on After The Ride via "photobucket" and there's a huge difference from the original on my "Media Player".

Thanks;-)

Not unless you find a site that lets you host huge files. And even then, it will take forever and a day to upload and for us to download.

I keep playing with the settings on my computer as I save the videos I create. I'm trying to find the optimal settings for playback on YouTube, but to date they are all crappy.

Or use an aftermarket high-quality compressor. You'll still need a place to park the files, but it won't take a day and a half to download.

Cleaner (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=5562025&siteID=123112) was/is the leader (sadly they have been bought by Autodesk). They now have a Windows version as well. Doesn't matter, either one will create files in any format. I'd go with Quicktime if you're really looking for playback quality (unless you can argue keyframing with me don't try) at the very high end with the smallest file sizes possible.

Of course if you're not trying to make it look like a movie trailer, it's probably overkill.

YouTube takes your video and munges it up as it likes, no matter what you feed it, they will always look like poo.

Thanks. I'm gonna check out Quick Time.

Most if not all video sites convert video to flash and compress them out the wazoo to make it so it will download quickly.

I sometimes have to "visit" lil gangbangers websites to partake in their bragging videos when they commit crimes and go crowing about it on those sites.
When I try to convert from the flash based video back to MPEG or quicktime, it looks of poo and the audio and video usually get way out of sync as well.

You can download a trial version of Cleaner for either platform at the website. I don't know how it's limited, but it's probably worth playing with just for kicks.
