They say one must look hard to find the natural beauty of the Permian Basin, and to a certain extent, that's true. But sometimes you don't have to search at all. You just look up and there it is, and it astounds you:

I didn't have the D50 with me, so I shot these with one of my DV cams. Posting here 'cause I just thought it'd be something nice to share with the TWT fam. Every one have a happy, safe work week.

Re: You just look up and there it is

We had burnt orange, saphire blue, and a few other colors in this evenings sunset that defy description other than WOW.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: You just look up and there it is

Should we make this a "Post your best/favorite sunset pictures" thread?

Re: You just look up and there it is

That's one thing you do get in west Texas . . . beautiful sunsets. It's all the dust in the air, I believe. Regardless, the sunsets are gorgeous. Great shots, Tim.

I'll change the thread title so folks will know.

Okay, this was a couple of weeks ago near Milano, TX. I got there Friday evening before the rest of the riders were going to show on Saturday morning. Set up camp, opened a folding chair and popped the top on a Shiner and this was the evening show. Even had coyotes to sign the sun down.

Near Antlers Oklahoma, I stopped on the side of the road because I thought the Bonneville had yet another flat rear tire:

I was behind and 2000 Ft below a FedEx MD11 as the setting sun reflected in it:
