I am going up to San Antonio this Sat. (Dec 8th) to pick up a seat for my bike and the wife and I figured we would surprise the kids with an overnight camping trip. So I made reservations at Potter's Creek Park at Canyon Lake which is a COE park.

Is this park any good ? Any close by attractions you would recommend ?

We will be camping in a tent and only bringing the car, so we won't have the VFR or bicycles, ect.

TIA

You could head over to Gruene (pronounced green, gotta love texas) and see the town. Small mostly restored hill country town with an nice restaurant. Right on the Guadalupe river.
