red x's / missing images,photos, or avatars

This just started today, so i am not sure if its my pc or twt issue. When i pull up a page i am missing about 1/2 of the pics, avatars, and icons. I get the red x instead. any help would be appreciated.
ps.this is the only site i am having issues with. i checked out some online advice pages but to no avail. thanks

Jack, do you have any new firewall or antivirus software? It's possible that your computer is trying to "protect" you from the content of those images (most times its based on where they are hosted and not the content of the images themselves). Happens at work for me sometimes.

i have checked for that, no new firewall on my side, perhaps at hughesnet, i dont know if they have upgraded. I have found out if i refresh a page a time or two i get pics and icons
, strange.
ps i restored my pc to yesterdays settings and that seems to have helped some but not 100%

I have not noticed this happening and nothing on the site has been changed. Are you getting this at home or somewhere else? I don't have any issues at work on the satellite connection either :shrug: Squeaky's suggestion is what I was thinking.

I see more red Xs using the computer at work than I do at home. The work setup has a substantial corporate firewall guarding it (Lock Mart), so I am sure it filters content from certain sites, like the photo repositories.

Thanks for all the help, talked with hughesnet and restored my pc settings to a couple of days ago and that seemed to clear up whatever mess I had made. If the term "PC-Duphus" is on wikipedia, my pic should be found near it.

Not to worry, it is a common condition... :wary: I often suffer from severe bouts of it... :doh:
