My name is Gabriel New, I live in Hico and work in Waco. Been riding for almost 3 years, just traded my '97 Katana 750 for a 2000 Ninja 250. Sounds backwards I know, but as Spider will tell you, I'm not normal. ;-)
I'm now looking for a dualsport so if you know of one...

I'm looking forward to meeting y'all!

Welcome! Just out of curiosity...why the 250 after being on a 750? I was going to get a 250, but after looking at the specs and talking to people, decided that the Ninja 500 would be a better purchase. More up and go on the highway.

Does JKD stand for Jeet Kune Do?

Thanks for the welcome.

Yep.

why the 250 after being on a 750?

I wanted a smaller bike so that I could focus on corner speed rather than relying on my throttle. I definitely feel like I'm wringing the ninja's neck to go anywhere. 65mpg is also a little nicer than 47. The Kat was more comfortable but I never seem to make it on long trips anyway. Of course, that may change now that I've found this site.

That's not so crazy... every once in a while I kick around the idea of trading my V-Star in on a pair of Ninjas. Well, ok, maybe it's crazy, but how the heck would I know?

So you're going to meet us for pie, right?

He's right. He's not normal. Apparently the pie trick worked! Only took me 4 days to realize it. Welcome dude.
