Moctorcylist dies in wreck with 18-wheeler on I-45

A motorcyclist died in an accident with an 18-wheeler on Interstate 45 north of Houston, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported.

The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway near its intersection with the Hardy Toll Road, deputies reported. The accident was reported at 2:54 a.m.

The name of the victim was not released.

The investigation continued with traffic slowed in the area, the department reported.

With the speed at which people drive on I-45, I'm surprise this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. People, slow down, obey speed limit.

That being said, judging by the time of the accident I would readily assume that alcohol was involved or some other lapse in judgment.

One of the news stations made a comment at the time that he was a manager at a Tomball bike shop. Any more on this?
