If you're looking for increased visibility without buying new gear, check out http://www.identi-tape.com Any kind of reflective tape you could want really, and cheap too.

I've been looking for a site/store like this for a while.

Thanks!

I got some of the black retro-reflective sew on tape for my mesh gear, and have started adding it on so I can be seen better, I don't like to wear my Hi-viz jacket and block the mesh in the summer

I would suggest that y'all stay away from the SOLAS, it is great stuff when light directly hits it from the same angle of the viewer, but that's it.

I got some a couple of years ago (when I got my 'stich), put about 4 sq ' on the back of the bike. Had a friend follow me and he said when the headlights hit the tape it was like the eyes of god. Otherwise they did nothing. He said the reflective tape on the 'stich was almost as bright and even the street lights would light them up.

cheers,
Tom

Hmm, any of you want to go in with me and get a roll of

silver, 4" x 10' roll ??

The black may also be interesting, but it might be too shiney??

cheers,
Tom

I'd rather have the black for my bags, and replace the SOLAS stuff I have on there now, at least then it wouldn't look like I took part of a highway sign and glued it to my bags, but that's just me ya know  So one roll would get enough to do both bags, if you are sparing.
How about http://www.identi-tape.com/safetyonetwo.htm The White, as it is the brightest..same as the postal truck that is always late

:tab Hmmm... anyone know what the vehicle code has to say about the allowed colors for reflectives on a bike? :-P

Adios,

Red & White, DOT required  As wide as my bike is, or seems..I should put the Red & White across the back for safety

But the reflectors that come on the bikes are orange? Is is it red or white on the back only?

Adios,

We're special cases ya know  The reflectors on my bike are red on the back and orange ones were on front...if I have to put my reflectors back on, I'm gonna put playing cards in my spokes too :nana :rofl

My reflectors are amber on the front forks and red on the rear mudguard.

The TailBrights kit is specifically for the Connie and the RY kit is just some panels that I can cut and place wherever I want.
