Ride report for 2-2-2008

I rode FM219 from the south end near Lake Whitney to the north end
where it terminates at SR108 at Huckabay north of Stephenville.

The pavement from the start to Cranfills Gap is in great shape.

North of Cranfills Gap the pavement was not as smooth and ditch renovation kept me focused as gravel in the corners was not uncommon.

Took some fuel in Dublin and kept going.

The new pavement from Dublin to FM-8 is top notch and very smooth.

FM219 ends at SR-108 north of Stephenville (Huckabay)

FM219 is a nice 90 mile road that should be taken in for anyone riding southwest out of the metromess...

Gas is available in Clifton, Cranfills Gap (daytime only) and Dublin where you
can also visit the Dr. Pepper museum.
