Louisiana again? Yeah, there's lots to do over there. This time we went to Cravens. It's about 170 miles from Lake Houston. We stayed at the Enduro Camp in the Vernon Unit. The camp area is about 10 acres of flat ground under the pines... all primitive. The trailhead is right off the camp [similiar to Kelly's Pond].
There was plenty of good riding with some really nice pristine sections.

But equally, there were some over taxed, rutted out areas. It was fun on the DRZ, but anything heavier would have gotten old.

There were a few swamped out areas, but no mud and mostly hard sand bottoms. Something else to keep in mind....lots of exposed tree roots.
One good thing, there were alot of fast straits.:flip:

And some puddles that were really deeper than they looked!

I did some DSing around the area and found some really nice two-tracks.:sun:
