Well, the day looked like it was not going to happen thanks to our sometimes unpredictable Texas weather. We got up Monday morning to a wet paddock area and damp track (rain quit around 6 am) and it was also pretty chilly outside.
All the riders met up in the classroom to discuss our options. We took a vote on whether to cancel and administer 100% credit to everyone or to stick it out and ride. What do ya know, the vote was split right down the middle!:doh:
So, Ty Howard went out in his truck to check out the track in person, a few people checked radar for rain chances and then after several discussions and Ty Howard's expert opinion on what the track would be like throughout the day, we decided to ride as planned. And, it turned out to be the right decision! It never rained again that day and after the first 2 sessions the track came in quite nicely.
The afternoon ended up being partly cloudy w/ some sun shining through.:rider: We also went the entire day without a red flag.:clap:
