Hello all,

I have bought a CSx and trying to play around with it.

I am getting ready for a ride and I created a lot of waypoints and downloaded onto the unit.

When in map view, all the way points clutter the screen with their big flag symbols and I could not figure out how to reduce the size of the flags.

This is a two fold problem. 1-when you are navigating in a small scale covering lets say 20-40 miles per screen. I can't read the road names because of the size of the flags. 2-When at hub-destination, there are other rides around the hub and on small unpaved county roads, which require more frequent waypoints not to get lost, but the clutter on screen makes navigation really next to impossible.

Any tips? Thanks in advance.

there is a 'de-clutter' option somewhere in the menu. Sorry I can't be more specific, I don't have one myself, but watched another rider use that to clean up her screen.

I've got the 60CSx and I absolutely love it! I used it on my last business trip in the UK at the beginning of this year and it was extremely beneficial. Helped me get around and find every place I needed to go. Had to buy the European maps of course but it was well worth the price.

Back to your question, this is easily fixed. Press the menu button twice, then select Setup, then select Map. In here is all the options for the maps. You can select each icon by going left or right using the cursor key and then go up or down with the cursor key to select your option. Once you select the option you wish to change then hit the enter button and change it to whatever you prefer. You can change the street names as well as your waypoints when they can be seen at any magnification you choose. My guess is is that they are all set to AUTO. Hope this helps.

1. use a different symbol other than a flag, e.g. a colored box. Smaller icon.
2. Turn declutter on from the menu on the map page. Eliminates all the other busy symbols and labels from showing up on the map leading to a cluttered view.
