I recently bought a mint 2007 KLR 650, with only 915 miles (CA model), from an NCO at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. It was stock and crying for some mods. So...

I added:

Caribou rear rack & case
SW-MoTech crash bars
Alaskan Leather sheepskin seat pad
RAM GPS mount
Afrikan center stand

Still need to add a 12v outlet, battery tender, and, of course....

"The Doo" (if I can find some 'adult' supervision).

I lived out there in the late 80's/early 90's. That is KLR kind of country. You staying in the Sierra Vista area?

The latest issue of PsychoWorld (Cylcle World) magazine has a neat article about the military diesel KLR 650. Gets up to 110 miles per gallon.

Wow... what kind of bracket did you use to mount that bus to the back of the bike  That's my kind of adventure touring!

<< You staying in the Sierra Vista area? >>

Nope. Benson until the end of the month, then San Antonio for 2-3 weeks, and vic. Port Townsend, WA, for the summer.

Not this one.

Don't know the model/make, but Camping World had them on close-out. It works okay, but the KLR only gets 3.2 mpg when towing.
