Free, just pick it up or pay for shipping. Used two years. No funky odor. It fell off the bike while parked and the bracket that holds the shield broke so that when lifted the one side of the shield comes loose. The shield can be lifted about half way without coming off. I could not find a new bracket. I wear glasses so I need to be able to lift the shield to put my glasses on. Never crashed and the finish looks almost new. Stock photo but represents the one I have.

What size is it?
I am looking for something for my kiddo in a small (55-57mm)
Let me know
Not to be a stick in the mudd but a helment is only good for one hard lick the helment could be damaged and not be visiable. I would not put my kids head in it or anyone else's. Just my concerned .02 worth.

It's an XXL and the facechield broke the fall from the handelbar. There is not even a scratch on the lid. It wasn't a "hard lick". I'd still be using it if I didn't have to flip the shield all the way up to put on my spectacles. It's better than nothing for someone who needs one.

I don't mean to be a jerk here this is just my opinion, BUT an EMPTY helmet that has been dropped from a static position of less than 3-4 feet is not really damaged. The shell may have some cosmetic damage but that doesn't affect the safety of the helmet. The inner liner, the actual protection for the head, is still in tact. While wearing the helmet the liner will compress in an accident in order to absorb the shock and inertia and lessen the trauma to your head, but for an empty drop I don't consider the liner damaged because there in no compression of the material. Again this is only my opinion.
You make a good point about used helmets, its your head put on it what you want, but I have no problem wearing a used helmet as long as its in original condition with no visual damage to the shell. I will not buy a used helmet that has been painted or has stickers or graphics that are not original.
In my experience 99.9% of the time if the liner is compressed, the shell will show damage. If the impact is enough to compress the liner it will almost always mar or scratch the shell.
But by the same token helmet liners have a shelf life and wont last forever. The liner material (usually some type of polystyrene foam) deteriorates over time and loses its effectiveness to protect. I buy a helmet about every 3-4 years and would not consider a helmet safe past 5 years. I don't know what the manufactures recommend, but I have 3 of my old helmets that seem fine but don't fit quite as well as they did new leading me to believe the liners have some deterioration. Probably from sweat, temperature differences, and general wear. This is just my opinion. Anyone with different point of view is welcome to contradict.
My only point do you have kids? All I meant was if I had a crash and my son had a head trama all I could think of ,is, was it the helement should I have bought a new one! Did not intend to offend any one.

Thanks for the helmet Bruce. My son knows where to find a replacement clip so it should be as good as new. It was good meeting you...
Thanks again,
Rick
