Howdy,
It seems that to do the T-shirts right, I need to pre-order them. However, I have to specify the number in each size. If you would be interested in a shirt, please vote in this poll and let me know what size you will need. Assume they will be something like Beefy T's or other nice quality brand.

I just grabbed some from the origianl thread about shirts..I don't know which one(s) Scott is planning on using, but those were my favorites.
I would take 1 XL as long as they were 100% cotton shirts. Can't stand blends...

:tab Right now I am just concerned with the number of shirts. I am not sure if I will use one of the images already posted or if I will work with the artist to come up with something else. My current leaning is to use the image with the three bikes on the back and put the small logo banner or the badge on the front. But before I get very far, I have to know how many shirts we are looking at doing because there are minimum order numbers.
Adios,
Put me down for 1, and I may be convinced to get 2.

I think that one I saw a while back with three motorcycles and two wheeled texans worked in was pretty cool. I dont remember it exactly tho. Im sure the design will be cool which ever one or two or three are used.

:tab Hmmm... when people vote and then say add a few extras and other sizes, I can't get a good count. I guess I should not have used the poll at all and just made everyone post what they want. As it is, it looks like I will be doing around 100 shirts. No idea on the price yet. I am about to leave to go meet with the guy to discuss options. Will let you know what I find out later.

So my asking for two mediums would only much things up further, eh? How's about this: If, theoretically speaking, I would buy a shirt, I'd buy two of them. In medium.

:tab Okay, does anyone know of a place similar to CafePress.com? I have a storefront setup at CafePress, but their website is unbelievably slow and often times will just time out completely. I like the ability to have an online store, to be able to select from available products, simply supply the image to be put on said products, and then they take care of all the money, shipping, returns, etc,... I really am not well setup to do all that myself.

If I can make this work, then I can offer shirts with your choice of images on front/back. You will then be able to order as many as you like of any of the combos in any sizes you like, inlcuding little outfits for the Tiny TWT members ;-)
These are Hanes tagless 100% cotton. Just as an FYI for me, what would you pay for such a shirt? Keep in mind all proceeds help keep this site afloat ;-)

Got one 1XL and a 12 month onesie last night. Kinda stiff, but I'm sure that will go away in the wash. Also seems likely to shrink, so be careful washing, or order big. XL fits me (prewash) perfect, I am 6'2 ish 230 ish. (okay-- no "poor suspension" jokes, Sleepy Weasel)

The jerseys are blue and black, but in the pics it is hard to tell the diff. Snoopster brought two shirts to King's this evening. She has an Ash Grey shirt and one of the Jersey shirts. The shirts are really nice and the image is pretty good quality. I will be ordering mine soon! I will try to get other images on the shirts to give a wider selection. I am limited to the products that CafePress offers. So if you see anything they ahve that you like, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Cafepress offers the stickers but not the license plate frames.
Two Chicks offers the license plate frames and offers bulk pricing as long as it's the same message; ie. WWW.TWTEX.COM in the small portion on top and TWO WHEELED TEXANS in the large portion on the bottom.
TWo Chicks (http://www.twochicks.com/motorcycle-license-plate-frame-information-and-pricing.shtml)
This page has examples of previously made motorcycle frames...

If there was sufficient interest you could make a bulk purchase, or we could arrange a group buy on our own to avoid you having the upfront costs.

Scott, both images are great! On the roadsign, when viewed full size, there are a lot of blurry spots along the edges of the lines in the red and blue areas. Can this be cleaned up a little?
I am assuming that these two images would go on a white T-shirt? The badge would not work well on the Ash Grey shirts ;-)

03-14-2005, 10:37 PM
I did it in AutoCAD at full-size, the sign is approximately 8x8. Then I opened it in Illustrator and exported it into Photoshop and the PSD>JPG conversion created the blurry edges. The original Illustrator file is sharp and the PSD file is shaper than the JPG posted. They are large image files. I can draw stuff in cad so much quicker, that is why I do my linework there.
They should work on white or gray, the badge image needs to be played with some more, I just did the coloring kinda quick. Someone who knows how to do metallic finishes in Photosop could do it more justice than I can. I will gladly send them whatever format file (psd, ai or dwg) they would like to work with.

For Cafepress, the final image needs to be PNG. However I can convert to that and resize as needed. The larger the original image, the better. Also, they should be 200 DPI. Since the colors are simple, would GIF work better to reduce the blurring? I am only running ACAD 13 so I probably could not open anything you might send me in that format, nor would I really know what to do with it, hehe.

I can make a PNG file out of any of the programs. Those images are 100dpi at the moment. I will get you some PNG images tonight and see if they will work.
I am running AutoCAD 2002.
