The frame repair place called today & we are making all efforts to transport my son's GSXR from Arlington to Mansfield this afternoon (gotta pull some parts off first). But our previous sources of pickup trucks are unavailable. I am looking for other possibilities.

I don't have a hitch on my Jeep but could probably get one (temporary or permanent) if a trailer was available.

Anybody have any suggestions for Arlington-local resources?

Thanks regardless.

I live in Mansfield and I have a trailer. Would you like to borrow it? Actually, if you need me to pull it, I can use my Trailblazer. Let me know.

Thanks, since I posted, our neighbor returned with their pickup and it is available for the afternoon.

So it looks like that may be the solution for today. I may inquire about your services later in the weekwhen we pick it up, since you are close.

Thanks, though, Judd. Where in Mansfield do you live?

The frame place is (supposedly) right where FM157 and Business 287 meet on the north side, near the Whataburger. They are just there for the week so we are trying to get this taken care of today - both of us took vacation...

I live near Matlock and Country Club. Post up if you need my help later in the week. Thursday and Friday would be better than tomorrow since I have to go to school tomorrow evening.

Good luck with the frame repair!

Doesn't Uhaul rent F150's for something like $20 a day?

Adios,

Really? That would be reasonable - I was afraid to call U-haul because I was sure the only option was a hitch and a trailer. Besides, I put $16 of gas to top off the neighbor's truck.

Yeah, we are thinking those days as well. If I can't get the neighbor's truck (she said it probably would be OK), I'll get in touch. Their driveway is just across from ours, so it is real easy if they are home.

one bike with issues + pickup + slanted driveway + ramp + me + two sons = easy load :-D

Sorry about the false alarm. The bike is in for testing (two track bikes already there). The guy, Kent, is really knowledgable and helpful.

Enterprise and Budget rent pickups for local use, I don't know if U-Haul does. You can also try Home Depot or Lowes as some of them have pickups for rent.
