Who can help piece the remaining parts of it together?

Kinda like Route 66, much of the road has been consumed by progress.

I rode the section from where FM2710 turns south just north of Lindale, to the T with FM1253 south of Jamestown.

Help me piece the entire route together and I will post up a map of our efforts.

I have the National Geographic Map Set for Texas and Photoshop, so I am betting I can make a decent map for folks to use.

I will post the section I rode as soon as I can get a map produced.

I should have added ...

I also use Garmin GPS but can convert about any map data and I have Arc GIS as well ...

Send me what you can and we will come up with a route for folks to use!

Not skilled at the GPS things, other than looking at sat maps online I guess. Are you talking about the old US 80, or Dixie Highway routes? I'm one of those also interested in oldie road portions, mainly Route 66.

No

I simply stumbled across the road coming back to Dallas from Gilmer and it appears to be largely forgotten.

The Dixie Highway, Bankhead and others are also interesting.

I've been piecing together old parts of Rt 66 for a quite a few years.
