Saturday, July 5th.
One of our members, Erik Shea has lost his right leg after a long fight trying to recover from a m/x injury. He is a guy who is the first one to help folks and now we have a chance to help him.
Details to follow as we work them out but basically the landowner has allowed us to put this on with all monies going to Erik and his family. We will have organized rides by abilities, hopefully a silent auction, and basically just hang out and do bike stuff!
Even if you don't know Erik, you can come join us and have a good time and help a brother out.
Also, I believe there will be a raffle for a 1 year Outlaw membership!

Been wanting to ride at Outlaw to see what the hubbub is all about. Will definitely be there. He helped me repair my clutch cover the first day I met him.

Wow, this sucks. I had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Eric at SHNF back in January. Great guy, and a pretty good rider for a guy who was still busted up (at the time). :)
Best of luck to ya Eric. I dunno what I could do, but if you need something just hollar at me on here or at KTMtalk.

Cody... If enough of the crew from north of Waco makes it down for the ride, I will see about having another BIG pot of red beans and rice :eat: to help keep y'alls strength up while you are riding down here in all the rumored humidity we have around here. Heck that alone should make it worth the trip for some of you. :lol2:

If the interest is there we will have pit bike races for youth and adults!

YES, just show up! I'm thinking anytime after 8am. There is no "race" but we'll have organized rides for anyone that wants to, plus if they follow the arrows and follow rules I see no problem in open riding either! Lets just be careful!
We might have some games lined up, havn't decided yet, any ideas?
The silent auction will run all day and pit bike races in early afternoon!
Thanks for the questions!

Be sure and check out the local business owners/managers getting involved with the benefit. If you happen to be doing business with one of them let them know you saw they were helping with this benefit.

This is news to me about Eric... it saddens me to hear this type of news.
I'm working at the fire station that day... but I'd most definitely like to make a donation!! Is there a paypal or bank account setup for this benefit event?

Bump this back up to the top.
The Pit Bike race is getting a lot of attention, ie trash talk and should be a blast to watch the old farts on the little bikes.

You gonna be there Tony? I'll be there first thing in the morning. Surprised we having seen much interest in this, even on KTM Talk.

The three of us will be there, Alex found out last night that he will be off. Also have one or two of the local street riders that will be there to try out a little of the dirty fun :rider: which might make her look at adding a little dirt bike to the garage to keep her Beemer company.
We are hearing a little more activity over on TON but like you said it's not a whole lot. Hopefully the web activity will not reflect the turn out.

Ya'll have a good time and be careful! If you get done, feel free to come on up to our place and hang out. We'll feed you and have cold drinks.
