Motel in Eureka Springs - Travelers Inn

I just got back from 4 days of riding in Arkansas and thought I would pass on about a good place I stayed. The Travelers Inn was nice, clean, and biker friendly. There was 3 of us and we paid $42 a night plus tax. I talked to the manager and said I would suggest this place to other riders from the 2 forums I hang out on. He said if you mentioned that you were from the MTF or TWTEX forum he would come off another 5 or 6 dollars off the rate. http://www.travelersinn.com/

We looked at staying there last year, but we ended up camping on the lake up there.

My group with Sport-Touring.Net had a huge problem with this place. ST.N held a national rally there several years ago, and I put on a central-US get together there the last 2 years.

Last year we took up something like 30 rooms (half the motel). Many people complained that the rooms were filthy. Also, there were some cancellations (met the stated cancellation period). At least 2 riders who canceled found that their cards were charged anyway. The manager was evasive.

One of the riders got his money back by disputing the charge with his credit card company. The other pressed an investigation through the Attorney General's office and finally got a refund from the hotel a month after the event!

I would NOT recommend this place.
