I put the new filter in Saturday. Made a short ride after, it seemed like the top end was better. I made a 100 mile round trip to Bryan on Sunday. I topped it off at a Shell station (a tier one provider) before a blast to the Woodlands, and back to home trip and then rode in to work, back home and to work again. 157.3 miles, 3.29 gallons. 47.7 MPG. I was only getting 44 before that. I will check my mileage for the next weeks. Rick

I've heard that with the larger 'hard plastic' OEM filters, the K&N flexible one can actually bend too much and allow air to get past the filter from the sides. On smaller-framed units, the K&N is great. YMMV
