When I click on a thread, I keep getting a pop-up window to sign in to msn passport.net or something like that.

What gives?

Never seen that! What ISP and browser are you using? I don't have any popups on the forum other than the PM notifications. Definitely nothing related to MSN!! Must be another of Bill's attempts to take over the world...

Adios,

Try using Mozilla, the problem might go away. And you can still sign onto sites with passport if you use that account. I use IE for getting updates and a few sites that require that browser. Firefox for everything else.

I get it at work using IE. I think it has something to do with passwords and passports ability to act as a manager. Like I'd trust Mr. Gates with passwords. Never have it using Firefox at home. BTW, there is newer even more secure Firefox out:

Well, I think it may be related to someone's avatar. It only happens on twtex and doesn't happen on all threads or all pages in a thread.

FwVic has an avatar that shows to come from MSN in the "Pie Run III" thread (http://www.msnusers.com/usvbrp7eci09qhjg69nvjg7d14/Documents/avatar.jpg)
Everyone elses on the page I looked at uploaded theirs. I wonder if that is the issue?

Now that is annoying! Sometimes I just wanna smack ol'Bill and the croonies that work for him

Are you getting it all every thread Kidder? Or on just a few?

Adios,

Just a few. I'm not getting it on this thread. I guess I'll have to do some more sleuthing.

I found it.

FWVic's avatar is trying to link to this. I get a red X.

Oops, sorry didn't see your post above. I've had a rough day at work. HDD crashed, etc., etc.

Time to crack open a cold one. :chug:

I get a red X also but no popup to log in to MSN.NET.
I have the .NET framework but do not use MSN...
I also am running XP SR2 which may have some effect.

It's those Victory riders - they cause all the trouble! :-P
