WOW!!!

What a great time!!! That was big time fun. Adan, thanks for putting the ride together. You rode the heck out of that F650 GS. I'm impressed!!

Dennis, great to meet you. That tech day sounds like a good idea. I'd like to take you up on that before too long.

Chris, it's always fun. I usually can tell the line not to take by following you!!
(Kidding!! My skills aren't exactly world class yet!!)

We'll have to do that again soon although it may be a week before I can move again.

Dido, it was loads of fun :dude:

I was very pleasanty surprised of how well the bikes performed, Dennis and I had pretty worn-out street-biased tires, I can only imagine what the bikes can do with some good knobbies, specially in the wooded areas ;-)

Can't wait to see the pictures :clap too bad there won't be one those fancy Wabbit Productions' videos :-( ... this time ;-) hint hint

 Ahhh the WOODS  Great save (twice) I thought for a while I was going to get us all stuck down there for good  I think this pretty much means my leading in the trails pretty much sucks :suicide:

Great pics man, thanks for documenting the insanity :party

The funniest thing happened to me last night, I fell asleep watching wife's favorite TV show and must have been having nightmares, because I abruptly woke-up feeling like I was falling down into a ditch!!

Adan,

That cracked me up! When I first fell asleep I dreamed I was riding over the edge of a sandy cliff and rolling downhill into the trees. I jumped awake with the certain panic of impending doom. I wasn't going to confess but since you did!!

panic of impending doom

Yup, that's what I am talking about  I jumped right off the floor

I think they have a formal term for this :scratch

Post Traumatic Stress, or adrenaline crash :rofl

Nothing like the rush of not being sure you are going to make it out of a "sticky" situation. Sorry to drag you guys down to the bottom of the woods  just don't let me lead off-road again.

Don't even worry about that for a second. It was all part of the fun! To me, stuff like that just makes the story telling after the ride even better!!

I wish we had pictures from that part. I don't think anyone is going to believe the big ol' dual sports could make it through any of the single track.

I know pictures of me would be funny. I had a death grip on the handlebars for the first half hour or so. The expression on my face had to be a classic. After I relaxed a bit, it was just pure fun. :chug:

Red River was a blast for sure. I never thought I would be so relieved to be riding home, just to get my energy back. When I got seperated from the rest of the pack, dropped the bike in some single track because I stalled going uphill, and the gas was running out of the tank on my leg.... Then I was lost and exhausted for about 20 minutes and came out of the woods in a completely different area than I thought I was in. The KLR even left the ground a few times, but the old girl lands pretty hard. My suspension bottomed out more times than I can count.

When the stiffness wears off of me, I am ready to go back...

I may go to Oklahoma or Arkansas this weekend to try out the new camper and DS a bit.

Chris,

Sorry we lost track of you! We were getting pretty good at the travelling in a circle bit as we seemed to end up right where we started no matter what trail we took. We realized pretty quickly we had lost you but couldn't figure out which trail led us back.

Thanks goodness the KLR's and GS 650's have big gas tanks!! ;-)

I agree. As soon as I can move without wincing I am ready to go back!!

Enjoy Arkansas or Oklahoma in that new camper!!

It's supposed to be nice and Sunny this weekend. :)

Once you get all those muscles broken in it gets to be even more fun.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting lost up there, most everyone does. I'm hoping it might be better with a zoomed in GPS.

I have recovered after a couple of days of Alleve. That was a good workout. I am am going to ride Clayton, OK this weekend, since I will be camping at Robber's Cave SP. I will have to really try to not get lost there, because you might never get found in that kind of acreage.
