I accidentally deleted the e-mail I got about it...

Triumph’s Bonneville range has also been given a serious makeover. The iconic model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2009, and Triumph is marking the occasion with a limited edition model. Just 650 Bonneville T100 50th Anniversary models will be produced in a unique orange and blue colour scheme that echoes the 1959 original. Based on the standard T100, the Anniversary model features a host of detail changes and comes with a numbered handlebar-mounted plaque and a certificate of authenticity signed by John Bloor, the owner of Triumph Motorcycles Ltd.

They also mention classic clothing inspired by Steve McQueen. I hope they do an hommage to this legend the right way.

It reminds me of the Scrambler. I just don't see anything "special" about it.

I guess that it pays homage to the original Bonnie colors of 1959.

I think it's cool, but I guess this is just a tough crowd.

I like the color combo. It reminds of the Gulf racing livery.

That was the first thing that I thought of when I saw the colours.....

That's a good looking Bonnie. A little snazzier than my 06 Bonneville Black. Now that they have finally made it fuel-injected, I wouldn't mind picking up another one if only they could fix the poor handling in the twisties. :eat:

Aftermarket suspension components are rather inexpensive for the Bonnie and can make quite a difference.

More upcoming Triumphs:

Mine had all that stuff, in the forks (cartridge emulators, 15W oil), and the rear shocks (Hagon). Still, take the 06 Bonnie back to back with my 97 PC800 on 455 and the PC will eat its lunch, take it into the boy's bathroom, beat it up and take its lunch money. But that's neither here nor there, I realize that the Bonnie wasn't designed for that sort of riding. It's a nostalgia bike and looks so much better and is a cooler bike than a PC ever will be. Hence the fact that I want another one.

Incidentally, we took a ride on 697 between Whitewright and Sherman, what a ride! Smoother than 455 and just as much fun if not more.

(Yeah, I shouldn't have sold the Bonnie... :argh: )

The Ewan version reminds me of the gold/bronze buildings across from Northpark Mall in dallas.

French company Mecartwin specializes in Triumph accessories. Their website is worth looking at if you are considering customizing your Bonnie.

I like the new Trumpet !
But a 900cc modern bike that only makes 53HP come on ?????
What is the problem? I read a test in a brit magazine that compared a 30 year old Bonny with the new one. With mild mods to both the old one came out on top in all realms of performance. "WELL other than reliability"
