That's a whole 9 miles from my house! If I put my old fairings on my 10-Speed, may I ride it?

:-D

It is a little further than that for me but not much. I was thinking about maybe meeting somewhere out northwest and riding in with the northsiders. I will try to come up with something nice for after lunch.

Barring any complications, this is a place I've been wanting to go to for awhile now..so go ahead and add me to the definite list.

Hey!! We didn't have any rain for the previous BBQ Run. Maybe it is Marble Falls or the Pie Run that is cursed :angryfir:

Unfortunately we have a "previous engagement" we ahve to be at so I wont be making this one. Funny how somehow I make the meets that are at least 300 miles round trip, but can seem to hit the ones 10 miles away,

Put the wife ( Denise ) and I on the maybe list.
I am doing year end inventory at work this week, so will not know if we can make it until later in the week.

I have not been to one of these yet and am looking forward to meeting
TWT's

I'd be there, but I'm riding down to Fulton/Rockport to say buh-bye to the whoopers for the season.... Also doing this as a warmup for Big Bend next weekend! Enjoy the bbq, and thanks as always bluedogok for all your hard work rounding up the Austinites on a regular basis.

After looking at that, I figured that I could drop the D/M since we have since broken them into 2 groups. The D/M thing was a holdover from the original pie run.

Congrats on the Connie Kurt :clap

*** BUMP ***

I figure we will just meet at the Salt Lick and those who wish to go for a group type ride can do so after lunch. After all, I have some new tyres to scrub in.

Wow, that was the biggest bbq sandwich i've ever had. By at least double. Also the best.

Lee's got one purty custom chopper...shiny. I think that's a first for a TWT meet.

Sorry I showed up so late, but kids will do that to you.

The DRZ is no Gold Wing, but it was still a fun trip. If the Suzuki gel seat on order doesn't cure "plank butt" I may have to get Tourmeister to refoam it for me.

Please

Enjoyed the lunch, that DZR is cool, I volunteer to ride it until the seat is broken in if that would help you out.

We had a pretty good turnout and got stuffed on the family style meals.

I pulled in about 11:15 or so and txmedic was already there on his new Concours. Next to arrive was Russ and Elaine (TexasTri), my wife showed up in her car since she has a youth ministry that she does on every other Saturday. Lee (on his custom) and Rob (utlonghorn) showed up soon after that. We spent a little while looking at Lee's bike then we headed in as the crowd was starting to file in. buddy (budzrex) and family showed up after we had been seated.

A good meal was had by all :chug:

Will (birdwh) showed up as most of us were finishing after having some battery issues. We ran into Daryl (UberHawk) and family as we were leaving. We gawked over his new Suzuki motard in the parking and then headed home.

It was a nice (albeit windy) day even with buddy along, so far we have had pretty good weather for the BBQ Runs, hopefully that will rub off on the Pie Runs soon. The guys at Cycle Gear got my tires changed in time on Friday night for me to make the run on my bike yesterday, it is like a new ride. The old squared off 'stones were definitely in need of replacement.

Be sure to sign up for the Austin BBQ Run III on May 14 to Louie Muellers Barbeque in Taylor (http://www.twtex.com/viewtopic.php?t=4083). Hope to see everyone who can make it there.

The consensus on Thumpertalk is that the gel seat isn't worth it. No more comfortable than the stock and it is a little lower. I would just ride it an get used to it, or refoam. Corbin makes one now, but it is kind of funky shaped and would look really strange on a bike as nice looking as yours.
