Howdy,
I am using an older Nikon Coolpix on a RAM mount. The Coolpix is not too bad, but has no sound at all. I have to use an editing tool to add sound latter.

I'd like to upgrade my camera.
I'm looking for a small camcorder that has a jack to plug in a separate microphone and a standard tripod mount socket. I'd like to attach the camera to my RAM mount and run a cord to a microphone in my helmet, so that I could narrate as I ride along.
Ideally it will record to SD cards. If last years model is available on line for cheap, so much the better.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
