OK. Looks like Dave has decided to make this a three time event at ECR.
We are going up to ECR for the third time in 3 months.
We will be holding a Saturday track day at the ECR facility.
I am still getting more details, and as I get them I will post more.
Still an excellent price, and still an excellent education.
CMRA is holding a race at ECR on Sept 26-27, so if you are looking for track time, this is your chance to get some for cheapest around.
If you are looking to increase your skills, well, we will be there to help you with that too. All levels are same low price, except level 3 (Ty Howard/Larry Myers race school), which is $150.00.
Will be back with more details as I get them.

EDIT:
Just to add in, RideSmart will be holding parade laps at lunch for this event, and all other RideSmart events too. So if you do not plan to ride but want to spectate, bring your bike and gear and have some fun during lunch at the parade laps.

Very very tempting. I could definitely use some more time before the 27th, especially if they've done any repaving.

I will try to check with Dave about the state of the track. As far as I know, this was being redone in August. Repaving and resealing corners. Will let you know. It is a great chance for all you racers to get some cheap track time before the CMRA weekend at that track.
If you join us, we will be glad to have your company, that is for sure. Also, Dave serves dinner the night before, and lunch the day of the track event. Drink goes along with that.
Adding parade laps at lunch, and food for all that show up, this will for sure be a nice event to attend.
Take care.

Can't say ifthey have actually have done some, since I have not be out there since July, but the website says;
For those of you have who have had questions concerning the track surface repairs re-asphalting will begin August 11th and all corners in question will be repaired before the end of August.

Shamelessly stolen from the CMRA board, looks like everything will be great!
I went out to Eagles Canyon yesterday. All the corners were sealed with that same stuff they used at Hallett a couple of years ago. The spots the cars caused ruts were patched and sealed over. If you remember when we first road at Hallett it was slippery and felt like you were riding on marshmellons. Not the case with Eagles Canyon. The straits were ground down and made much smoother. The corners were bumb free and had lots of traction. It could use some rubber down on it for better traction but for the most part it had as good of grip as any track I have ridden. People that road it that morning said it was a little slick but that is to be expected because of dust and not being ridden since recent repairs. Overall the track was much better than it was when CCS raced there in March. After only completely 15 laps I was about a second off my best time there.
With two more weeks of riding on the track it should have plenty of rubber down.

Hopefully I didnt shoot myself in the foot today. I was out riding the zzr and a car decided to occupy the same space as me so I headed for the shoulder to avoid impending injury. Came out of it without further incident but in the process picked up a nail in the rear. I went in sideways but pretty deep. Im a bad judge at these things so its on the trailer and headed for the shop in the morning for their assesement and or replacement if needed. Its not leaking air but the length of nail worries me for further use cause it could go at any time. They claim they have the tire in stock but geez $$$$. See you guys there with a nice slick rear tire.

Do they still open the gates at 7:00am??
Follow that with what time does the Lvl 1 Class start??

Just checked and apparently the gates open at 6AM, with riding starting at 9AM (level 3/4 are out first for 20 mins, followed by Level 2 for 20 mins, followed by level 1 for 20 mins - with this sequence cycling throughout the day).
Riding will be from 9AM to 6PM.

How late are the gates open?

This was a great event. The track is a mental exercise if that makes any sense and even with the oil mishap, I felt like I made steady progress the entire day. Thanks for a great day!
