Weather Update for Cresson on 9/14/08...

Guys (& gals). Just wanted to let you know that Ciaka & I are not forgetting about you guys and the situation (w/ respect to weather).

We do not want to announce anything before we discuss all scenarios and also know what options Cresson's mgmt is offering us.

Here is where we are now.

As far as weather itself at Cresson on Sunday, it's looking more and more like the weather will be fine. The projected path, once inland is going more east everytime I look at the map.

But, that has nothing to do with your ability to get to the track on Saturday. With more and more mandatory evacuations from the Houston area, it is not reasonable on our part to expect you guys to find a way to the track while you have family/friends/homes/etc to worry about.

Ciaka & I will try to get something hammered out w/ Dave & Cresson management today and communicate it to you as soon as possible.

Due to current developments with hurricane Ike, RideSmart Track Day at MSR Cresson on 9.14.2008 is now CANCELED.

Anyone that has registered for this event has a $100 credit with RideSmart, and can use it for another event. If you would prefer a refund, you will need to contact Dave directly via email (ridesmart@mac.com), or telephone (512.469.9491) to discuss this.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your patience regarding resolution of the MSR scheduling details. Although the chances of rain are slowly decreasing in the area, the logistics of getting up to the location would be greatly complicated due to the storm and everything associated with it.

If you have any questions at all about this, please do not hesitate to contact us (here at the forum - ciaka and dhdrider), or contact Dave directly at the above mentioned number.


There are actually a couple good things that came out of this IKE mess:

Our ECR event on September 20 is coming up, so it would be a great time, should you desire, to use your credit there. The track is great and close to the DFW area.
Those of you that are racers, CMRA is holding a race weekend at this facility on September 27/28. It would be a great opportunity to book some practice time - and for $100, one can't go wrong.

Another good thing to come out of this is that RideSmart is returning to MSR on October 5. Should you desire, we can book a space for you using the credit you have from this cancellation. REMEMBER - if you registered for MSR 9.14.2008 and you want to use your credit at another track event with RideSmart, please contact Dave so you do not have to pay twice.
