Muinomede/Dalle/Retna
(FROM AP) — Richard Wright, a founding member of the British rock band Pink Floyd, died in his home on Monday (Sept. 15) at the age of 65. He had been battling cancer. Wright formed Pink Floyd along with Roger Waters and Nick Mason. He wrote, played keyboards, and sang on some of the band's biggest songs, like ''The Great Gig In The Sky'' and ''Us And Them'' from 1973's The Dark Side Of The Moon. He left band in the early '80s but rejoined for their 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason. (AP via Yahoo!)

While my tastes in music vary over time; Pink Floyd is still my all time favorite and I can listen to them any time.

"And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."
"If you can hear this whispering you are dying."
"I never said I was frightened of dying."

My all time favorite band as well. I have, thanks to my younger brother, tons of live shows from around the world on cds and dvds.
I guess it's time to remember how Pink Floyd and Richard Wright have been a big part of my life so far.
He was only 65. RIP Mr. Wright.

It's awesome that we live in a day and age when 65 is still vital. I plan to still be laying down tasty chops at that age, just like Wright continued to do, and just like Clapton is right now.
My taste in music changed one time, Ninth grade. Pink Floyd is one of my top 3 favorite bands in no special order. AC/DC , Led Zeppelin, PF.
I wish they had a Pink Floyd channel on SIRIUS !!!

Actually worked behind the scenes with Pink Floyd once. Sounds more interesting than it should, haha. I was part of the Fire Safety crew embeded in the stage superstructure.
Funny, the Band members were walking around prior to the performance, looking over the set up. The gathering fans didn't really know them (perhaps an age gap thing?). But when one of the wierd lookin' "roadies" would walk by, the crowd went wild!:lol2:
