cant get it to start. i just got it, dont know whats wrong or where to begin.

First pull the spark plug and seeif it's fouled up. If it is clean it up real good, or better yet, replace it, and with the plug off, pull the rope a couple of times so the cylinder evacuates all the gas, then replace the plug and try again.
